Obscene content being shown in Ajaz Khan’s show ‘House Arrest’

There is frequent controversy over the obscene content being shown on OTT platforms, and people often express their displeasure on social media. Now, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has strongly reacted to one such instance of obscene content. In fact, a clip featuring an obscene scene from Ajaz Khan’s show House Arrest has gone viral on social media, against which users and Priyanka Chaturvedi have both raised their voices.

Reacting to the controversy, Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said that she has raised this issue before the Parliamentary Standing Committee and is awaiting a response. She wrote on X (formerly Twitter):
“I have raised the issue in the Standing Committee that apps like Ullu and Alt Balaji have managed to escape the restrictions imposed by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for obscene content. I am still waiting for their response.”

Priyanka further stated that on March 14, 2024, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting blocked 18 OTT platforms that were found to be streaming obscene and pornographic content. These platforms were primarily focused on distributing vulgar material. A ban was imposed on 18 apps. Shockingly, the two biggest apps—Ullu and Alt Balaji—were excluded. Will the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting explain to the country why they were left out of the ban?

Ajaz Khan’s recently launched reality show House Arrest is facing severe criticism from users after a controversial clip from one of its episodes went viral. The show is streamed on the OTT platform Ullu as well as on YouTube. Now, due to its controversial content, it is causing public outrage.

In the viral clip, Ajaz Khan is seen asking contestants to perform various sexual positions, which viewers deemed vulgar. In the video, Ajaz asks a contestant to demonstrate her experience and knowledge of sex positions, and when she says she doesn’t know about them, Ajaz questions her, “Have you never experimented?”

However, the situation became overtly obscene when Ajaz asked another contestant, Gehana Vasisth, to demonstrate the positions with two other participants. Gehana then acted out the positions with another contestant, and the scene was deemed extremely vulgar. The video is now going viral on social media, with users heavily trolling Ajaz for it.
